#cv100MC or #runhappy
Dear CANYON VIEW Shining Stars and families!
It is proven that active kids and adults simply do better - in the classroom, at home, and in life. By participating in The 100 Mile Club®, you and your child will experience success with goal setting, team spirit, perseverance, and increasing self-confidence – all while having a great time!
The 100 Mile Club® is running strong, entering our eighth year at Canyon View, we are offering the 2020-2021 "100 Mile Club TO-GO!" program. It will be a virtual program where all students are encouraged to track their own miles and submit a monthly mileage log, signed off by a parent/guardian.
The goal is to run or walk 100 miles and earn a gold medal. All students are encouraged to register for incentive prizes. Adults are also invited to register to support their child in the goal of achieving a healthy active lifestyle! This year, 100 Mile Club has created a unique way for families to order the incentive packages directly through them!
Those registrants who complete the enrollment form AND pay the $10 package option A or $15 package option B registration fee, will be eligible to earn 100 Mile Club prizes that includes, a 100MC t-shirt when they reach 25 miles, a pencil when they reach 50 miles and a silicone bracelet at 75 miles!
FIRST, CLICK HERE for the online enrollment form for CANYON VIEW, along with information about the incentive package options and all links/QR code for registration.
SECOND, print and use the monthly mileage LOG to track your miles!
You will get more information, in the upcoming weeks, on how to submit your miles to your coach.
A separate online registration should be completed for each student or adult from your family. Stay tuned via PTA newsletters, the PTA website and social media to get connected with additional information and ideas for 100 Mile Club TO-GO! throughout the year.
Note: Shipping charges apply as the order will be delivered directly to you! Shipping will begin in mid-September, but start tracking your miles NOW!
Use this mileage tracking sheet to begin monitoring your progress. Plus, we will be following up with additional information and ideas for 100 Mile Club TO-GO! throughout the year.
Our Vision: Healthy, Happy, Connected Kids®, families and communities!

PLEASE NOTE: COVID-19 and 100MC program at Canyon View Elementary
The California Department of Public Health recently released new guidelines for youth sports.
100MC will follow PTA and school directives. Please use this website for updated information on how to earn miles for 2020-2021.
100MC will kickoff on September 1st, 2020 and will be a virtual program for the 2020-2021 school year.
This will allow all students, regardless of learning model, the opportunity to walk/run and manage their physical distancing of six feet and minimize their contact with others.
The guidance does not permit team competition, but does allow for individual or team physical conditioning and training and physical education where physical distancing can be maintained and ideally outdoors.
Please see the CDPH Youth Sports Guidance (PDF) for further details. At this time, there are no plans for 100MC to meet for weekly fun runs, monthly community runs or assemblies.
We will do our best to be "virtually" the same program. Hope to see your posts on social media! #cv100MC or #runhappy
