TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

WHEN: Yearlong (Fall, Winter, or Spring Seasons)

ABOUT: The OC Youth Sports Tournament of Champions (TOC) is a school-based series of tournaments that raises funds to support the Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF). KIDS RUN THE OC

WHEN: February 2023 - May 2023

ABOUT: The Kids Run the OC program presented by Memorial Care is designed to help kids become more physically fit, promote an active and healthy lifestyle, and combat the onset of childhood obesity. . . while having fun! This is accomplished through various fitness games, which help improve speed, agility, hand/eye coordination, flexibility, and your child's overall fitness. The Spring "Marathon" Program will begin in February of 2023 and by the end of the program, each student will have accumulated the equivalent of 25.2 miles of fun activity and will be ready to finish their own Marathon by completing their final mile at the Kids Run The OC presented by MemorialCare which will take place on May 6, 2023.  The event is held in conjunction with The OC Marathon finish line events at the OC Fair and Event Center.  The OC Marathon provides the training and program materials for the coaches at each school location.

VOLUNTEERS: We're looking for a volunteer Kids Run the OC Coach who can help lead students through exercises before school. Timeframe =  February 2023 - May 2023. Please CLICK HERE to learn more and sign up.

CANYON VIEW ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

WHEN: June 2023

ABOUT: Canyon View offers a scholarship to high school seniors who are Canyon View Alumni that attended the school for at least one full year. The recipient of the scholarship is selected primarily based on the applicant’s ability to effectively communicate the impact Canyon View Elementary School had on his or her educational growth.

VOLUNTEERS: We're looking for a volunteer to send High School Seniors information about applying for Canyon View’s Alumni Scholarship, and coordinate a committee to select the scholarship winner. Timeframe = May 2023 - June 2023. Please CLICK HERE to learn more and sign up.

YEARBOOK

WHEN: Yearlong

VOLUNTEERS: The Yearbook Committee is looking for photographers for the 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades. Volunteers would come on campus to take pictures for the classes' Halloween, Winter, Valentine’s Day, and End of Year parties. The Yearbook Committee is looking for some class candids, as well as pictures for the yearbook spread. For more information please email yearbook@mycvpta.org.
